WWE rings are considered a sacred place. Countless legends have walked in and out of those ropes for years. With the action a squared circle endures, it is mandatory to strengthen the base (literally) of any fight. Therefore, when a ring collapses due to the impact, fans go berserk. WWE Payback witnessed such an incident when the ring collapsed in the main event.

The Fiend Breaks The Ring At WWE Payback

For the main event, Payback had a no holds barred triple threat match for the Universal Championship. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (C), Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns faced off against each other. However, due to a contract dispute, Roman Reigns’ participation remained under question.

Right after the ring collapsed, Roman Reigns appeared and signed the contract, along with Paul Heyman. After he entered the match, it was a cakewalk for him. Reigns pinned Braun for the title, winning for the second time.

Like Roman Reigns, Wyatt too “did not lose” the title because the champion was not pinned. We are probably going to see Wyatt going after Reigns to reclaim his title. After WWE Payback, all eyes are now on Raw.
