“We Didn’t Keep Him Special” – Jim Ross Slams WWE for Failing to Create a Second Andre The Giant With 51-Year-Old Wrestler
WWE has seen its ups and downs when it comes to the success of its superstars. There have been some really successful stars created while with others it felt as if the opportunity was missed and they could’ve been part of something even bigger. Jim Ross recently shed light on a former WWE Champion’s career. Although for most fans it was perfect, the commentator caught a flaw. Since he has also worked with WWE closely for several years, he understands the potential they could’ve harnessed from the big wrestler.
Ross talked about how WWE failed to capitalize on the size and aura that Big Show possessed. Big men being part of the wrestling industry was nothing new but with Big Show, the feeling was he could’ve been so much more special.
Where did WWE go wrong with the Big Show?

Fans have seen several successful storylines while watching WWE, and The Big Show was part of them too. However, there was a flaw in the way of his utilization that WWE did not understand. Jim Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer, recently talked about this issue on his podcast.
The now AEW commentator began by mentioning: “we didn’t do a great job of managing Big Show’s career.” He then explained the reason behind this opinion of him.

“He was an attraction. He was our Andre, that was the intended direction to go in. But I didn’t think we did an overall start-to-finish great job and how we utilized The Big Show,” said the Hall of Famer.
He further went on to add, “we didn’t keep him special, we didn’t keep him unique, and I thought that was a big mistake at the end of the day.” According to him, there was a lot of ‘overuse’ and especially the concept did not appear to be unique. Regardless, Paul Wight was still able to build a reputable career for himself.

What is The Big Show up to now?
Paul Wight eventually left WWE for AEW leaving his legacy behind. When fans thought he might never wrestle again, he returned to AEW to prove everybody wrong.
The excitement of fans, however, was short-lived, as he had to take a step back. While he stayed in commentary, he has not been able to perform since a serious surgery.

However, there are numerous reports that the giant wrestler is yet again planning to make a return to in-ring action. This news is sure to excite all the fans.
