The WWE Universe is shocked by the latest decision of the company’s board of Directors. The ‘Billion-Dollar Princess’ Stephanie McMahon has been appointed as the interim CEO and chairperson of WWE.
It was a surprise to the WWE fans because last month, Stephanie McMahon stepped down from Chief Brand Officer’s duties to spend time with her family. However, Vince McMahon has voluntarily resigned from his responsibilities as CEO and chairperson because of reported misconduct.

Not only Mr. McMahon but the Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis, has been removed from his position. The changes in the company were brought effective immediately because Mr. McMahon and Laurinaitis are under investigation.
In case you are unaware, the Wall Street Journal recently reported that Vince McMahon allegedly had an affair with a former WWE employee. In addition, to silence her from discussing their relationship, the former WWE boss paid a whopping $3 million to the former employee.
Stephanie McMahon worked her charm on the WWE’s Board of Directors
Well, a Special Committee comprising eight members of WWE’s Board of Directors named Stephanie McMahon as the interim boss. Notably, Dave Meltzer, in his latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that four members were not involved in this decision-making.

Those four members who were not involved are President Nick Khan, Mr. McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon. In addition, the reports suggest that ‘The Big Man’ withdrew from naming his interim next-in-line.

According to Wrestling Inc, the Special Committee of eight members who chose the ‘Billion Dollar Princess’ for the interim WWE boss role are as follows; Ignace Lahoud, the CEO of Majid Al Futtaim; Steve Koonin, the CEO of the Atlanta Hawks; Connor Schell, the founder and CEO of Words + Pictures; and Erika Nardini, the CEO of Barstool Sports.
Other members of the Board of Directors include Steve Pamon, the President of Verzuz, Jeffrey Speed, the former Executive Vice President of Six Flags, and Alan Wexler, the Senior Vice President of Innovations and Growth for General Motors.
Mr. McMahon’s daughter treasured all points to be the interim WWE boss
In the same report by Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, these eight members of the Special Committee favored Stephanie McMahon. It is surpassing because when McMahon’s daughter announced her leave of absence from WWE last month, certain higher authorities wanted to bury her on her exit.

However, many reports suggested that Mr. McMahon was the one who influenced his daughter to take a step down from her CBO duties. That was because the company’s revenue dropped because of Stephanie’s lack of sponsorship.
