It is definitely a massive deal in the professional wrestling industry that Vince McMahon announced his official retirement. Since the 1980s, The Big Man has been strengthening the industry. So as he has retired now, fans wonder about the company’s future. Notably, there was a lot of talk about Dwayne Johnson buying the company.

The reason for this is that Johnson has enormous riches as a result of his perseverance and dedication in his career as a wrestler and an actor. For almost 25 years, The Rock has offered entertainment to millions of fans all over the world.

Aside from the entertainment industry, he also ventured into several other fields as time progressed. The $800 million worth actor previously purchased the XFL from Mr. McMahon. Now that McMahon has left the company, DJ seems to be a perfect buyer for the company.

Meanwhile, WWE’s co-CEOs have been named Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan. In light of this, wrestling observer Dave Meltzer hypothesized that Johnson’s closeness with Nick Khan may lead to Johnson acquiring the company.

He stated, “Dwayne himself does not have the money to buy WWE, nor does anyone, but could he go in there and round up the capital? Can they all work together and buy this company together? That is an absolutely intriguing possibility.”

He also offered a convincing justification for that. As he said, “Dwayne loves pro wrestling, it was his family’s business, and his daughter is now in it. This is not some weird fantasy. This is absolutely something that can be viable.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
