Speaking on Watch What Happens: Live hosted by Andy Cohen, when a woman asked if he and Cena would ever work together, Johnson had the answer ready. He said, “I think we squashed that. You know as a matter of fact, John is going to star in one of my movies that I am producing and I think he’s doing great. He’s done great in his transition and he really wants to continue to work hard.”

Johnson explained that Cena would be working on The Janson Directive, a film based on the novel by Robert Ludlum. And the film will be produced by Johnson’s Seven Bucks Production. However, since 2018 then there has been no news regarding the film.

The same had happened with Cena and Chan’s ‘Hidden Strike’, the film had gone completely silent before dropping a trailer.

After Dwayne Johnson returned in Fast X, fans expected him to share the screen alongside Jakob Toretto played John Cena. However, toward the film’s end, fans saw Jakob Toretto sacrificing himself, presumably dying.

After Dwayne Johnson’s entry in the DCEU as Black Adam, and Cena as Peacemaker, fans expected them to cross paths once. However, this might never happen as Johnson was let go of his services as Black Adam, as the film struggled to do big numbers at box office.

However, as soon as Johnson’s return to Fast X was announced, fans again expected him to share the screen with Cena’s Jakob Toretto. Unfortunately, Jakob Torreto was possibly killed off even before he could meet Luke Hobbs.

Will the fans ever witness Cena and Johnson’s chemistry on the big screen?
