But the match at the grandest stage in 2013 left him injured. Once his father, the late Rocky Johnson, shared that The Rock lost six figures for three days straight following his loss to ‘The Cenation Leader’.

Johnson said, “It’ll be crazy to go back. He likes to meet the guys, talk to them, help them. But as far as getting in the ring while his contract, he can’t anyway. Because the last time he wrestled Cena at WrestleMania he got a hernia.”
The Soulman added, “He had to have emergency surgery. They had to shut the set down for three weeks, it cost him two hundred thousand dollars a day.”

The Rock and also John Cena in recent years have shared how their injury will cost their film careers. This is the reason they don’t wrestle full-time during an active acting schedule. Back then, Cena didn’t know this and called out Johnson for being away from WWE.
Nevertheless, in the past few days, the 16-time world champion has accepted it was his fault for calling out DJ. Now that he is an actor himself, Cena understands why The Rock was away from WWE. Even Rocky Johnson knew this and he shared in this interview with a wish of working in his son’s film.

DJ is an action hero, and we love him for all the scenes he does in the movie. However, initially, the $800 million worth star didn’t do all action films as some of his movies were of different genres. Similarly, one of the real-life based films, Gridiron Gang, was his father’s favorite.
The former WWE tag team champion shared in the same interview he would have loved to work in this film. The movie inspired The Soulman very much and so it is his favorite movie of his son’s.
