“Wrestling Needs You”: Former WWE Star Suffers Unfortunate Injury, Fans Pour In With Unbelievable Support

Injuries can play a big role in a pro wrestler’s life. And the unfortunate thing is that you can protect yourself from injuries all the time. Almost every pro wrestler has suffered injuries in their pro wrestling careers. And former WWE star, Matt Cardona is no exception in this case.

Cardona (previously known as Zack Ryder in WWE) recently took to social media to announce that he has suffered a torn bicep and will need surgery. Further, he noted he will have to cancel future bookings.

He wrote, “Got a MRI today. Bicep is torn. Surgery needed. Will unfortunately need to cancel some dates.” Soon after this post from Cardona, fans took to Twitter to show their support and wished him a speedy recovery.

An individual even noted that he thinks Cardona will come back better than ever.

The former WWE star has been competing in matches frequently. In recent months, Matt Cardona has held various championships. He is currently signed to Impact Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), and also competes in various independent promotions.

When did Matt Cardona suffer this injury?

As of now, Matt Cardona’s last match took place against Blake Christian at GCW Downward Spiral PPV. On that same day, he competed in another match. At the REVOLVER Vegas Vacation PPV, he lost to Rich Swann.

But it looks like he suffered this injury during his match against Blake Christian at GCW Downward Spiral. Following his match against Blake Christian, Cardona took to Twitter and revealed he thinks he tore his bicep.

He noted, “I think I tore my bicep and I still finished the match and beat you!!!” The former WWE star posted this tweet after Blake Christian called Cardona piece of s**t in a post.

Matt Cardona is scheduled to defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis on June 11. It will be interesting to see if Cardona recovers in time and makes it to the event. We wish him a speedy recovery.
