Just a day ago, WWE made a huge announcement via their Instagram and Twitter account. This Saturday, the company will add the content of four different independent promotions to the WWE Network.

WWE confirmed this news through their social media accounts. These shows will give a variety to the WWE Universe with three promotions from outside The U.S.A.

EVOLVE is from the United States, wXw based in Germany, PROGRESS is a regular in English wrestling and ICW from Scotland.

This new content will have a best-of compilation. The compilation will feature WWE champion Drew McIntyre, NXT champion Keith Lee and their best matches in Evolve.

McIntyre’s best include his matches against Chris Hero, Ricochet, Roderick Strong, Johnny Gargano, Matt Riddle, and Tommy End (now known as Aleister Black).

A few matches from other promotions will feature NXT’s Timothy Thatcher and WALTER, AEW’s Eddie Kingston, and Ring of Honor’s Jonathan Gresham. The company has also promised to keep adding more content.

Drew McIntyre expresses his happiness on the content being added to WWE Network

WWE champion Drew McIntyre revealed how happy he was that these promotions were coming to the Network. The champ feels his time in Evolve made him what he is now. Here is what ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ said in his interview with Sports Illustrated.

“I absolutely never imagined matches from these companies, the places where I found myself in wrestling, are now going to be on the WWE Network, Hopefully, they’re as good as I remember.

“That’s the period where I started to become the man I am today, I found myself on the microphone and in the ring. Independent wrestling, as a whole, was really growing during that period of time. There were a number of incredible superstars in America and the U.K. that are now part of WWE, and it’s going to be incredible to relive that part of history.”

In 2017, Drew McIntyre returned to the WWE. However, this time we saw a transformed, intense, and committed McIntyre that Vince McMahon saw in 2009.

“This current run I am having does not happen without the independents, I’d lost my passion for wrestling, the one thing I’d loved for as long back as I could remember. I didn’t just recapture it during this period of time, I took it to a whole new level.

“I was surrounded by so many talented, hungry individuals, people that were believing in me and pushing me. There is no WWE Championship for me without that run, and that period of time, as you’ll see, created a lot of superstars in WWE and throughout wrestling.”

Drew Mcintyre’s transformation is definitely something we all have loved. He was one of the most wasted talents back in the day in 3MB. We should all thank Evolve Wrestling for the Mcintyre we see today.
