WWE have just announced a huge dream match for the ‘Charismatic Enigma’ Jeff Hardy. The high flyer has been on Raw, feuding with Elias, but the feud has passed the point of interest. He will now face Ricochet in a huge dream match on WWE Main Event.

Huge dream match announced for WWE’s high flyers

Ricochet announced the match on his Twitter account and called it a match that you wouldn’t want to miss. Ricochet has been embroiled in a feud with his former friend, Mustafa Ali. He faced the Retribution leader in another cracker of a match on Raw, which he lost.

This could be one of the biggest matches of Ricochet’s life. A match against Jeff Hardy is on the bucket list of many young WWE superstars. The match might be on Main Event, but it could realistically headline a PPV.

Main Event has played host to many dream matches that could steal the show on Raw and SmackDown. Matches like Andrade vs Ricochet, Humberto Carillo vs Akira Tozawa and many other similar matches make Main Event a platform for the workhorse wrestlers of WWE.

Ricochet has had a decent run in WWE

Ricochet has not had the most optimum WWE career. He debuted in NXT in 2018 and stole the show at NXT Takeover: New Orleans. The high flyer featured in the ladder match for the NXT North American Championship. He won the title a few months later from Adam Cole at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, in a thrilling match.

He has participated inside War Games, where he emerged victorious over the Undisputed Era. He then lost the North American Title in an amazing contest against Johnny Gargano. In his last NXT match, he and Aleister Black tried to wrest the NXT Tag Team Championships from the War Raiders, but lost in a very valiant effort.

Ricochet debuted on the main roster much before his final NXT match. He debuted in February and within a span of two months, was competing for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. Ricochet won his first main roster title at WWE Breaking Ground 2019, in a David vs Goliath battle against Samoa Joe for the US Championship.

Ricochet’s 2020 has been very topsy turvy. He started the year by picking a fight with Brock Lesnar.

The Beast gave Ricochet a title shot in Saudi Arabia, but the high flyer was absolutely decimated by Lesnar. After feuding with the Hurt Business and then Retribution, a feud with Jeff Hardy would be a good pickup for the former US Champion.
