The statement reads that “while the outlook on Mysterio’s recovery has been positive, his re-emergence was not expected so soon.” However, they teased, “Any reports on Mysterio’s return are unconfirmed at this point, but if they’re true, will Rollins be faced with the retribution of a furious father?”

The angle of a furious father refers to the feud between Seth Rollins and Mysterio’s son Dominik.

The New Mysterio

Seth Rollins and Murphy brutally beat Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik on last Monday Night Raw. They unleashed a 30 kendo stick assault as Dominic lay helplessly inside the ring. They added more insult to the injury as they painted the young man red.

Seth Rollins mocked the Mysterio family by saying that he will make sure the young Mysterio suffers his father’s fate. Mysterio retaliated by saying, “You took this to another level. You will FKN pay for this!!”

As a result, Dominik will face Rollins in his debut match at WWE SummerSlam. The newbie’s only advantage (as of now) is that he can use any weapon against the former world champion.

Dominik started working in the Performance Centre in Orlando to begin training with the company. Even before appearing as a wrestler, Dominik appeared in WWE under various storylines.

The most notable storyline was his custody battle between Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero when he was eight. Another prominent moment was during Rey’s feud with the Straight Edge Society leader CM Punk.

Even after the WWE report, fans are speculating that Mysterio might come around with the “retribution of a furious father.” It will surely be interesting to see whether Rey Mysterio comes out next week on RAW to support his son.
