With Extreme Rules inching closer, WWE will look to build some momentum on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

As the ratings continue to take a nosedive, the company is leaving nothing to chance.

We already know that a massive Champion vs Champion match is on the cards. In addition to that, we might see Dolph Ziggler picking the stipulation for his Extreme Rules contest with Drew McIntyre.

These and many other storylines are expected to progress. Without further ado, let’s jump into the preview of this week’s Monday Night Raw.

WWE books huge Champion vs Champion clash

Keeping up with the trend, Bayley and Sasha Banks continue to appear on both Raw and SmackDown.

It’s clear that WWE see big money in the duo and they are not wrong. Bayley and Banks have been phenomenal both inside the ring and on the mic.

While one of them wrestles, the other has been absolute gold on the commentary desk.

This week, Bayley will clash with Asuka in the ring. Sasha will most probably sit on commentary. Considering the performers, be ready for a cracker of a contest.

However, I don’t see anyone picking up a clean victory. That’s because the WWE won’t want any of their champions to take a clean fall.

Sasha might interfere which might either lead to a disqualification or a roll up victory for either of the two performers.

The end result should be a showdown between Sasha Banks and Asuka who are set to face each other at Extreme Rules.

Dolph Ziggler picks his stipulation for WWE Extreme Rules

Last week, Drew McIntyre gave Dolph Ziggler to pick the stipulation of his choosing at Extreme Rules.

This leaves open a wide range of possibilities. The match in itself doesn’t inspire any huge interest. However, a fun stipulation can drastically increase the stakes.

One of the intriguing prospects I can think of is Dolph banning the Claymore kick for the match.

Considering how heavily the WWE have promoted the maneuver, this will leave Drew McIntyre with a very deflated arsenal.

However, those who know McIntyre more closely will remember that Drew has a pretty wide array of moves. This can help the man display his skills at the Extreme Rules pay per view. Let’s see what Dolph Ziggler decides to choose.

Bobby Lashley continues his monstrous run

MVP uploaded a video on his Instagram this week where Bobby Lashley was seen terrorizing a civilian.

That might be addressed this week as Lashley further builds his monster persona. I expect a tag team match with Lashley and MVP teaming up to face Apollo Crews and Ricochet.

Even though Lashley needs to look dominant in the match, WWE simply can’t afford making Crews look weaker. His loss against MVP severely hurt his prospects.

This week, Crews and Ricochet should pick up the victory after Crews pins MVP. Post the match, Lashley can destroy both the Superstars. That succeeds in achieving both the objectives for the company.

The Tag Team championship conundrum

This is perhaps the weakest part of Monday Night Raw. Ever since the Street Profits have won the Raw tag team championship, the division has looked directionless.

That’s not their fault at all as their rivalry with the Viking Raiders has been made very weak through the useless humour which was inserted.

I expect Angel Garza and Andrade to formally stake their claim at the titles this week. That’s because they picked up a clean victory against the Vikinig Raiders last week.

Along with that, the implosion in the team that’s continuosly being teased is further expected to be brought up.

Randy Orton and The Big Show finally come to blows

The Big Show attacked Angel Garza and Andrade last week.

However, the apex predator didn’t face off against his latest challenger. The two are expected to collide at Extreme Rules. However, that won’t stop Randy Orton from attacking The Big Show with a cheap shot.

After a brutal face-off in the ring, a no holds barred contest can be booked for Extreme Rules.

Rey Mysterio and Dominik reply to Seth Rollins

Last week, Seth Rollins and his cult beat down Humberto Carillo and Alistair Black. Murphy and Rollins proceeded to completely annihilate the two.

At the end, Carillo was forcefully made to wear a mask and received a curb stomp on the staircase. Expect Mysterio to reply to this brutal attack this week. Dominik should also accompany him.

In the best case scenario, the two might even get physical with Rollins and Murphy.
