Things aren’t looking good for WWE weekly programming as Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that multiple people have tested positive for Covid-19. These largely include the performance center crowd as well as some in-ring talents.

It is still unclear what the amount of testing was or when it was conducted. However, it’s being reported that at least three people who were present at the performance center in Orlando tested positive. There will be more testing conducted by the Company before resuming television production for theCompany week.

WWE forced to cancel tapings last week

As was reported last week, the WWE was forced to cancel the TV tapings for a day after a developmental talent tested positive. This obviously caused some panic with the other talent also being tested.

Those who received negative test results were allowed to be a part of the TV Production. As of now, there’s no news on which in-ring talents have tested positive for the virus. That’s obviously some very bad news as those performing in the ring are more vulnerable to regular physical contact.

Despite all the strict protocols being religiously followed by the WWE, the deadly virus has found a way to creep in and disrupt proceedings.

The company had also released a statement declaring that testing efforts were being ramped up in order to have full assurance about safety before any activities are resumed.

“WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”

The company obviously has a lot riding on the TV tapings. That’s why they are pulling out all the stops to make them happen.

In the worst case scenario, TV tapings might be halted and weekly programmes cancelled for some time. However, that’s not a sacrifice that the company will avoid considering what is at stake.

The health of the employees comes first and foremost and no amount of losses can justify putting that at high risk.
