Triple H grabbed the headlines by winning the 2002 Royal Rumble match. But Maven eliminating The Undertaker sent shocking waves among the WWE Universe.

The winner of the inaugural season of WWE Tough Enough eliminated The Phenom by hitting him with a dropkick from behind following an attack from The Hardy Boyz.
Recently during an episode of the ‘Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard’ Podcast, WWE legend Bruce Prichard talked about this shocking moment from the 2002 Royal Rumble match. Prichard also praised The Undertaker for his sacrifice at the 2002 Royal Rumble PPV.
He said, “We’re looking to do a spot with Maven. And Undertaker was like, ‘Well, we could do this and get out there.’ That was a holy sh*t moment. And again, a testament to The Undertaker being able to take that moment and beating the living sh*t was the highlight of Mavens entire career right there.”
“The Undertaker made Maven. It was the biggest moment of Maven’s career. And at that point in time, I don’t know any other veteran that would have done that. And then again by Maven getting his a** kicked by said veteran and said legend that made him,” Bruce Prichard added.

The Undertaker shared a brief rivalry with Maven in the 2000s
After Maven eliminated The Undertaker, the WWE legend came back inside the ring to eliminate Maven. He further punished Maven by hitting him with a steel chair. But it did not get over that night.
Following Maven’s loss against Chris Jericho for the Undisputed WWF Championship, The Phenom once again attacked Maven.
