The company displayed a rookie Orton walking inside the arena, and on the information title, WWE showed, “Randy Orton vs. Hardcore Holly. SmackDown – 25th April, 2022.” WWE made a silly mistake in the video as they showed this year instead of 2002 as The Viper’s debut on SmackDown.

In addition, in the tribute video to The Apex Predator’s twenty-year career, WWE found themselves in another mistake that can’t fall under silly error. The Viper faced Rob Van Dam in Armageddon 2003 for the Intercontinental Championship. However, when the company displayed this match in the video, the title read, “Randy Orton vs. Hardcore Holly. SmackDown – 25th April, 2002.”
Orton defeated Rob Van Dam in December 2003 to win his first championship in the company. However, this was a massive blunder by WWE creative because, in the same video, The Viper mentioned that the match against RVD falls under his top 10 best matches.
What is the legacy of The Legend Killer?
After defeating Rob Van Dam to win his first title in the WWE, The Legend Killer made history as he stepped ahead. It was a historic Armageddon 2003 night because The Evolution (Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, and Orton) took home all gold titles.
The Viper is the Grand Slam Champion in WWE. He is a 14-time World Heavyweight Champion. Apart from the World titles, Orton has also captured the United States, Intercontinental, and Tag Team titles.
“My legacy would be that I was the next guy after The Undertaker. That was the only person that never went anywhere else and had more matches, more titles, and more accolades. I don’t care about Roman Reigns; I am sure he has got Dwayne Johnson’s agent number on his speed dial. Roman will be in Hollywood.”
“I’ll still be here. I am in my prime, ladies, and gentlemen. I gotta a long way to go. My legacy will be that I did it longer than anybody,” Randy Orton said.
