WWE’s problems just do not want to stop and are increasing day by day, due to the worldwide pandemic.

Recently it was found out that COVID-19 cases in Florida have started spiking up. The first blow that the WWE received was on June 9th, when a Performance Center trainee tested positive for COVID-19.

Since then no athletes were seen at the PC for training. Many WWE superstars like Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Robert Roode, Roman Reigns decided to stay home to avoid undue risk to their health.

RAW and SmackDown episodes have decreased due to a shortage of superstars. The Red and Blue shows don’t run the full three and two hours respectively.

WWE superstars were missing from the recent edition of SmackDown

Post the June 9th scene at the Performance Center, WWE had ordered all their talent and backstage employees to take a COVID test.

Recently, WWE announcer Renee Young confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19, SmackDown Kayla Braxton and producer Jaime Noble have also tested positive for COVID-19.

Sheamus was scheduled for an in-ring segment with Jeff hardy which got canceled. Jeff hardy ended up having a match with King Corbin.

AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan were absent from tapings. AJ Styles and Undertaker boneyard match was shown instead in tribute to the Deadman.

The duo was in the ring last week with Renee Young and hence could have been out for safety precautions.

Mojo Rawley and Shorty G are working closely with backstage producer Jaime Noble. Other superstars like Heavy machinery, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose were also missing from the show.

The only positive for the Blue Brand is the return of “The Fiend” Bryan Wyatt.

COVID-19 effects on WWE RAW

With multiple Superstars pulling out, the WWE roster as a whole has been reduced to a list of select individuals. This could affect storylines and day-to-day operations in a huge way.

Kevin Owens  has already pulled out from RAW and with many WWE talents and backstage producers catching COVID. The Red brand stars may want to take precautions as well.

Due to a shortage of talents, WWE RAW has already started to run lesser than its stipulated three hours. If this situation continues to worsen the chances of WWE getting taken off the air for some time stand tall.

There can also be a positive side to the story for the superstars. The performers who are risking their health and come to work have a golden chance to show their talent to the big dogs.

These chances would be unlikely during the availability of the full roster. Standing alongside your boss tackling difficult times can certainly take you a long way.
