Tommaso Ciampa once again proved why he is one of the most dominant superstars in the WWE NXT roster; this time at the expense of a young rising superstar, Bron Breakker. It was a battle between experience and youth at the Halloween Havoc event as Tommaso Ciampa took on Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship.

Last month, we saw Tommaso Ciampa announcing an open challenge to the entire WWE NXT locker room. Bron Breakker came out and accepted his challenge for the NXT Championship. Soon, the match was made official for the Halloween Havoc event tonight after Ciampa agreed to it.

But it was the veteran who came out on top in the battle of experience and youth. The young NXT superstar tried his best, but Ciampa looked confident throughout the match. Breakker even shed blood in their intense battle at the main event tonight. The NXT Champion hit Breakker with a DDT on the exposed concrete outside the ring. Soon after this incident, we saw blood on the latter’s forehead.

Breakker recently had his first match on WWE NXT last month and defeated LA Knight back then. But Tommaso Ciampa is a very experienced guy. Had he gotten the victory over Ciampa, it would have been the next big step in his career.

Tommaso Ciampa retains the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker at the main event of WWE NXT

The two superstars looked all ready for the main event of the night. Bron Breakker showed a great example of his strength as he lifted and slammed Tommaso Ciampa in the early stages.

But the veteran came back by hitting a knee to the midsection of Bron Breakker. But as Tommaso Ciampa tried to leapfrog, Breakker caught him into a high-angle spinebuster. Soon after we returned from the commercial break, we saw Ciampa taking control of the match slowly as he relentlessly attacked Bron in the corner. Ciampa then hit him with a running knee in the corner.

As the match progressed, Breakker botched a move from the top rope. This led Tommaso Ciampa to take control of the match once again. But Breakker once again used his athleticism to get back into the match, as he looked like a man on a mission.

The two superstars went all out at each after that. Ciampa hit Breakker with ‘Willows Bell’ for a two count. And the latter answered it by hitting a Frankensteiner and a Butterfly Suplex for a two count. He then tried to hit the Military Press Powerslam but Ciampa countered it with a reverse DDT.

But the match swung in Ciampa’s favor after the battle took place outside the ring when he hit Breakker with a DDT on the concrete. The NXT Champion looked to pick up the win after he hit a Fairytale Ending on Bron Breakker. But the young superstar kicked out.

But ultimately, it was Tomasso Ciampa who emerged victoriously. After Breakker kicked out of the Fairytale Ending, Ciampa followed it up with three running knee strikes and another Fairytale Ending to pick up the win.
