WWE is known to have some weird rules, including a ridiculous obsession with certain words to banning some others. However, as fans, we have adjusted to these quirks introduced by Vince McMahon over the years.

However, the latest set of rules that the company has set in place for the NXT superstars who are forming the crowd these days on RAW and SmackDown appear not just ridiculous, but also harsh.

As reported by Raj Giri in Wrestling Inc., WWE has now ordered them to not eat with the main roster talent. This was a part of a general list of guidelines given to them before the TV tapings in the World Wrestling Entertainment Performance Center at Orlando, Florida.

They were generally told to maintain a distance from the wrestlers working the show. However, it also extended to minute things like catering.

Notably, there were reports of the company overworking its developmental talent for their role as the crowd.

WWE NXT stars standing for 7-8 hours

The NXT superstars were reportedly told to make more noise after they seemingly lost steam. That was obvious considering they had to stand there throughout multiple TV tapings.

The instructions asked them to make more noise than the in-house PA system. In addition, they had already sat through the tapings of 205 Live and Main Event. For any regular viewer, they are not the most amazing wrestling shows to sit through.

Regardless of that, they had to stand for 7-8 hours and maintain similar levels of energy. However, they were given breaks in between to sit.

Obviously, WWE will have to figure out ways to make the NXT superstars more enthused rather than forcing them to do so.

Clearly, the programming has become more enjoyable since their arrival. Professional wrestling cannot work without a crowd. They have performed this important function in a spectacular fashion.
