WWE Raw Women’s Champion Asuka Has a Surprise Dream Opponent

Asuka, WWE Raw Women’s Champion, is gearing up to face Sasha Banks at The Horror Show: Extreme Rules. However, it is not Banks where she draws her line this time, she wants to face Kairi Sane as well.

Asuka and Kairi Sane are tag team partners. Unfortunately, rumors are making rounds that Sane will be leaving the company once her contract comes to an end. WWE might be making Sane an offer in an attempt to make her stay.

Now, Asuka reveals how she truly feels about her tag-team partner. Now, there is no doubt that Asuka and Kairi both perform like a well-oiled machine together. On top of that, fans of a tag-team get divided upon who to support when the partners are pitted against each other. However, these matches are the ones that are significantly interesting. At this point, Asuka wants to be in the ring as Kairi Sane’s opponent and not a partner.

“Kairi is very, very special to me. She brings out the best in me and I love being around her. When I am finished with Sasha, I want to face Kairi next! Kairi and I have never faced each other in WWE or in Japan or anywhere else, ever! So that match would be really special.”

Since WWE is all about storylines and building up to a match, there is a possibility that the company is taking Asuka-Kairi face-off into consideration. The company might be building the story towards this match in an attempt to make the departure self-explanatory.

As of now, fans have their eyes glued for the moment when Sasha Banks and Asuka will take the ring for the defending champion’s title.
