With WWE Clash of Champions 2020 just around the corner, there are rumors of a Superstar’s return. Taking a few rumors into consideration, there are high anticipations that Ronda Rousey is on her way back to the WWE.

Ronda Rousey is out of action since last year’s WrestleMania. Rousey and Charlotte suffered a loss at the hands of Becky Lynch at the first-ever all-female WrestleMania main event. Becky Lynch took both Rousey and Flair’s Raw and SmackDown Women’s titles.

Is Ronda Rousey returning to WWE?

One week ago, WWE posted a tweet showcasing a match between Natalya and Ronda. Ronda Rousey retweeted the post with the caption, “looking forward to a rematch someday.”

Natalya also reiterated Rousey’s wish for a rematch in her retweet.

Despite the tweets, Ronda Rousey previously said she won’t be coming back to WWE full-time. She loved the theatrics of WWE but won’t do it again due to the hectic schedule.

I love WWE – I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room. Like hell yeah, running out there, having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography, I love acting, I love theater. It’s live theater. It’s one of the last forms of live theater, and it’s so fun. But I was basically doing it part-time, and I was away from home over 200 days out of the year.”

Rousey further claimed she will never be back full time.

Even if Ronda was to come back now, she would not have a proper storyline. Her arch-rival Becky Lynch is on maternity leave, and every other woman in the locker room has a storyline. However, she might come back to fight Charlotte but we don’t know if fans would be interested in that.

If she comes back at the upcoming PPV, chances are that WWE will build her for next year’s WrestleMania. By then, newer and older talents will be ready to take her on.

But you never know if the former women’s champion turns up during the Clash of Champions 2020. WWE is very unpredictable at the core, and we never know what will happen.
