Strowman and his fellow teammates at Survivor Series won their match by destroying SmackDown. Strowman got a very important elimination, which he felt was enough to warrant a WWE Title opportunity. This provoked the rest of his teammates as well.

Adam Pearce was ready to give the members of Team Raw a championship opportunity since all five members had one elimination each. AJ Styles eliminated Kevin Owens, Sheamus got rid of Seth Rollins, Keith Lee ousted Jey Uso, Riddle pinned King Corbin and Strowman prevented Otis from running through Raw.

Sheamus and Matt Riddle were the first ones to make their case for the WWE Title. Strowman took an exception to them making their case, causing him to put his hands on Adam Pearce. Pearce later re-emerged from the doctor’s room with a big welt on his head. Bobby Lashley emerged to take Strowman’s place.

The No. 1 Contender for the WWE Title mini-tournament

Raw saw three matches that determined three possible challengers for Drew McIntyre. AJ Styles faced former champion, Randy Orton, in a WrestleMania 35 rematch. Sheamus and Riddle squared off in a rematch from their Survivor Series qualification match. Bobby Lashley vs Keith Lee was a dream match of sorts for the WWE Universe.

The main event of Raw was one of the most interesting matches of the show. Randy Orton and AJ Styles fought tooth and nail to get a shot at the WWE Title. However, the former had a whole other problem to deal with. The Fiend spooked Orton just enough for AJ Styles to drop him with the Phenomenal Forearm for the win.

Braun Strowman would have been the most ideal opponent for McIntyre. He has been one of the most impressive superstars in WWE for quite a while. The Monster Among Men is still touted as a potential challenger for McIntyre, but for now, we might see McIntyre face either Riddle, AJ Styles, or Keith Lee at TLC.
