With the road to WrestleMania approaching, one of the most marquee matches on the card got a massive jump start on RAW recently. The 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the “Show of Shows”. Rhodes cut a promo last week on RAW about fulfilling his dream and this week, Paul Heyman, the special counsel to the Tribal Chief, was himself present to hype up the match.

Rhodes and Heyman had a heated and emotional exchange on RAW, that will excite the fans a great deal in anticipation of the WrestleMania showdown. During the war of words, Heyman addressed how his late father Dusty Rhodes trained many superstars of today, including Roman Reigns, before taking a personal shot at Cody.

This week on RAW, Rhodes came out and wished Sami Zayn the best of luck for his title match against the Head of the Table at Elimination Chamber. Paul Heyman interrupted the Royal Rumble winner and what followed was a segment that will go down as one the best in the history of RAW. Rhodes mentioned how Heyman helped out his father when ‘The American Dream’ was struggling financially by offering him to appear in ECW. He said he not only gave him financial support but also his confidence.

This shook the wily Wiseman, who broke down in tears. But Heyman composed himself and said he wanted to talk ‘business’. Heyman said this wasn’t about his father or anyone else but Cody Rhodes and his story. He mentioned that he will try to take away the spotlight from Reigns but that won’t be an easy task.

Heyman then brought up how his legendary father trained the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Roman Reigns at the Performance Center, but didn’t train Cody because he wanted him to step out of his shadow. Soon after this, Heyman came up with a personal remark that got to ‘The American Nightmare’.

Heyman said. “I’ll tell you this one personally. In my last conversation with your dad, he told me you were his favorite son, but Roman Reigns was the son he always wanted.” A visibly emotional Rhodes said since Heyman made things personal, it will be Roman Reigns who will pay for it at WrestleMania.

The fans’ hype for the Undisputed Universal title match at WrestleMania 39 is through the roof after Heyman gave them a reason.

Roman Reigns faces Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber

Before Roman Reigns can focus on WrestleMania 39, he has to take care of the Sami Zayn problem at Elimination Chamber. Zayn turned on The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble after Reigns asked him to strike Kevin Owens down with a steel chair. That led to cracks within the faction as Jey Uso walked out on his family.

Fans have been completely engrossed in The Bloodline-Sami Zayn storyline, with some even hoping to see the former ‘Honorary Uce’ win at least one of the world titles of Reigns. Zayn will have the opportunity to do that in front of his hometown crowd in Montreal, Quebec.

This story will add another significant chapter at the Elimination Chamber event and fans will be eager to see in what direction WWE goes with Sami Zayn as he has become one of the hottest names in pro wrestling today.
