You Won’t Believe Who Chris Jericho Has Chosen For His Retirement Match

Chris Jericho, the man who needs no introduction in the world of pro wrestling. There are very few names in this business that have come close to level the achievements of Jericho. He has proved his mettle in multiple organizations including WWE, NJPW, ECW, and AEW.

The AEW inaugural heavyweight champion or better known as the “Le Champion”, Chris Jericho has had countless memorable matches with many superstars over the years. His matches with The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kenny Omega are some of the greatest matches that a pro-wrestling can wish to watch. 

Always brilliant with his promo and skills on the mic, Chris Jericho has had some of the greatest storylines in WWE. With that legacy behind him, you would think Jericho would wish for another showdown with the likes of Triple H, Stone Cold, or maybe the Undertaker before he bids farewell to wrestle.

However, for his retirement match, Jericho wants to face his long-time friend, Lance Storm. The furloughed WWE producer recently tweeted that he had a discussion with Jericho about it. However, he confirmed that nothing has been planned yet.

When a fan asked Lance Storm whether Jericho really wants to fight him on his retirement match, Storm said: “We’ve both talked about doing that,”

if you look at the history between Storm and Jericho it makes sense why Y2J would want to do that. Jericho and Storm met each other at the Hart Brothers School of Wrestling and made their pro wrestling debut against each other.

After that, both of them went on to share some amazing moments in Japan, Mexico, and Smokey Mountain Wrestling. However, Storm retired in 2016 and his last match was against Matt Hardy.

Lance Storm came back to WWE as a producer, but he was released recently amid the coronavirus pandemic. Lance Storm has always shown interest in making his in-ring return and what match can be bigger for his return than the final match of his good friend, Chris Jericho.
