WWE Announces The Next Opponent For Finn Balor

Finn Balor has sent a message to the NXT universe and his future opponents. A shocking announcement from NXT champion Keith Lee has made every NXT Superstar pull up their socks.

On the latest edition of NXT, General Manager William Regal kicked off the show. The General Manager then shifted the focus to Keith Lee who had a major announcement.

Keith Lee spoke about his highs and lows over this past month. He had defended his NXT North American Championship against Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor.

However, despite his career defining victory that saw him winning both the NXT Championship and the NXT North American Championship, Keith Lee has decided to relinquish the NXT North American title in the spirit of giving everyone an equal opportunity.

General Manager William Regal then went on to announce that there will be a series of triple threat matches. The winners will go on to NXT “Takeover: XXX” on Saturday, August 22 in a Ladder Match to crown the new NXT North American Champion.

Later that night, Bronson Reed won his triple threat match against Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong. Over the course of the next few weeks, there are more matches to come.

Finn Balor sends a warning to his opponents

The Prince is scheduled to face Timothy Thatcher and Dexter Lumis in a triple threat match to advance. Finn Balor now has his sights set on the NXT North American Title.

This could be a turning point for the Demon King who was shifted back to NXT from RAW due to a lack of opportunities. However, since returning to the Black and Gold brand, nothing special has still happened.

Since his loss to Keith Lee in the triple threat match featuring Johnny Gargano as well, Balor has been absent from WWE tapings. A victory in the triple threat match could revive his career.
