WWE Superstar Becky Lynch left a huge void when she took off. They had to find a replacement for ‘The Man’. The day prior to her departure, Asuka won the Money in the Bank Ladder match.

Next night on RAW, Lynch announced that the ladder match was for the RAW Women’s Championship.

Lately, Asuka has not been strongly booked. With Paul Heyman being removed as the Executive Director of RAW, it led to speculation that Heyman’s departure will impact Asuka’s run.

However, the rumors have been put to rest as WWE still sees Asuka as a top-tier talent. Wrestletalk reported the news from their sources.

He [Vince] is still high on Asuka, she won’t be hurt with Heyman gone,” Wrestletalk reported.

Asuka will remain in the spotlight

On Sunday night at WWE Backlash, Asuka was in a matchup with Nia Jax. A series of controversies plagued the ending of the match. It came to an end with a double count-out. Fans were furious as to why WWE made such a decision.

Vince McMahon relieved Heyman of his duties and made several changes to the Pay-Per-View. It was reported that the WWE Chairman is looking to bring Monday Night RAW back on track.

Earlier, it was reported that Asuka would be feuding with Charlotte Flair next. A clear victory over Nia Jax would have given her much more hype.

Instead, WWE ended the match in what seems like an attempt to keep their feud running. Reports also emerged that it was to protect Nia Jax’s run.

Heyman’s departure could affect the growth and run of many WWE Superstars. Heyman’s creative plans were different from what Vince is deciding. Thankfully, the present WWE RAW Women’s Champion is not someone who’d be affected.

Asuka has the skills to be the next big thing in Women’s divisions. WWE has a history of underutilizing their talents and we hope Asuka won’t fall prey to that practice.
