Back on SmackDown, The Miz had a long rivalry with Otis. From trading his girlfriend Mandy Rose to Raw to bribing a judge to win a case, the A-lister used all his influence to put Otis in trouble. All the tricks worked as at Hell in a Cell, The Miz defeated Otis. He won the Money in the Bank Briefcase thanks to some help from Tucker.

After Hell in a Cell, Miz got drafted to Monday Night Raw along with partner John Morrison. Since then, the Hollywood superstar has tried to cash in his briefcase but has failed for various reasons.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, they have given The Miz the briefcase to hold it till next year. The Miz will not be cashing in his Briefcase until 2021 as they want to build McIntyre and Reigns as top stars on both brands.

“He better not cash-in because that would be… you know, I think it’s on him because they needed a guy who could not cash it in this year, you know, because the whole idea is they’re going to strong with Randy Orton or Drew and Roman Reigns probably isn’t losing the title any time soon but who knows because Roman Reigns with a long title run was not the idea, believe it or not.

“Even though it seems so obvious it was not the idea. I don’t know what the… I have no idea who’s the guy who was supposed to be the champion because they’ve basically devalued everybody else.”

The Miz has won the Money in the Bank for the second time in his career. However, after 16 years in the company and many accomplishments, he feels he doesn’t get the respect he deserves.

However, some members of WWE Universe still see him as a reality show superstar and feel he doesn’t deserve to be in the WWE. In an interview with Barstool Sports, Miz reveals this struggle of his.

Even in WWE, sometimes I feel I don’t get the respect I feel like I want, maybe that I feel I deserve. I’ve won every title there is to win, but yet sometimes I feel like — you know, you’ll read Twitter here and there and you’ll see all the negative comments. ‘You don’t deserve to be there, we hate you, you’re the worst.’ But honestly, I look at those as compliments because they motivate me, they drive me and it’s some nerd in his basement just typing away. So, I use it as fuel.”

According to the reports mentioned above, The Miz will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase in the year 2021. While we all know Vince McMahon changes his plans all the time, it will be interesting to see if The Miz is successful in his venture.
