Bobby Lashley is nothing short of a man-mountain. Therefore, it’s not easy for anyone to believe that he may have had an experience that instilled fear in him.

In a recent session with Corey Graves on After The Bell, Bobby Lashley spoke about a horrific incident he was a part of. He was the victim of a bank robbery when he went to deposit some cash.

According to Lashley, during the incident, his life flashed in front of his eyes. The one thought running through his mind was that this is not how his legacy comes to an end.

“I walked into the bank. Now, first off, before I walked into the bank I saw three guys out there. Didn’t think nothing of it. Got into the line. As soon as I got into the line, not more than a minute after I got into the line, there was this boom boom right away! And I can see the tellers cause the tellers are facing my back and I am looking at them. They’re all screaming and I went down like this. When I went down like this, guys come in the door, shots fired, I took a dive down to the ground.”

Bobby Lashley wanted to disappear into the ground

While this encounter in itself was certainly horrific, it was the overall experience that became baggage for his future.

“I hit the ground, there was a lot of pain, I didn’t know where it was coming from. I felt like my face was kind of burning, I felt like my head hurt, my legs hurt, and I was just sitting down on the ground like holy c**p, like what’s going on, I was freaking out there for a second. And when I came to it a little bit, kind of relaxed a little bit, I was like ‘oh my god oh my god’. The whole thing that was going through my mind was it’s not supposed to end like this.”

Towards the latter end of the session, Lashley clarified that no matter what he did, he was coming across as a threat to the robbers. As a result, he tried to do everything in his power to stay calm.

In fact, once he was safe and sound, someone asked him if he gave robbers a thrashing. Of course, he did not. He stayed calm, composed, and did not take any action that would deliberately put his life in danger.
