Former Women’s Champion Bayley is going through tough times recently. She lost the tag team titles, and her former tag partner and best friend Sasha Banks defeated her for the SmackDown Women’s Title.

However, the ‘Role Model’ is hopeful for her return. She already has her eyes set on someone on RAW. Former tag team champion and IIconics member, Peyton Royce, has gained Bayley’s attention.

While speaking on the Table Talk podcast, Bayley spoke about Royce deserving the spotlight. She had known her from before and even lived together.

“I’ve always seen something in her. When she first started, she and Billie Kay lived with me for the first month when they moved to America because it was hard when they were coming all the way from Australia to find an apartment.”

She knew Billie but met Peyton for the first time, “…she was awesome and super sweet. Once I saw her get in the ring, I was like, wow, dude, you’re incredible.”

Bayley was hoping to see her more in the ring, “I’ve always had an eye for her. She just hasn’t had the time to show that even when IIconics were the Tag Team Champions. She just hasn’t had that spotlight yet. It kills me that she hasn’t had that yet.”

Royce recently had to break apart her tag team with Billie, because WWE is pushing her for a singles run.

At the recent Survivor Series, Bayley and Royce faced each other as Team SmackDown and RAW members. Team RAW was ultimately victorious under strange circumstances.

Bayley spoke about her heel turn

In September last year, Bayley turned heel for the first time in her career. From a lovable “hugger,” she went dark. It was rather hard for her to make such a sudden change, but she embraced it.

“It was definitely hard to switch. It was definitely harder than I thought it was going to be. But now it is so much fun. I think I’ve found my niche where I can find a piece of my personality in it and use that to make this bigger.”
