Chelsea Green Makes Much-Awaited Debut on WWE SmackDown

This week’s SmackDown saw a much-awaited debut in the Women’s Divison. Chelsea Green, a known name in the independent circuit and TNA, made her debut on the main roster.

On SmackDown, the ‘BOAT,’ Natalya complained about being included in Team SmackDown without earning her spot. Adam Pearce gave her a triple threat match with Liv Morgan and Tamina. Then, Green appeared briefly on the screen, smiling at Pearce.

Chelsea Green made her debut on the main roster as the previous triple threat match became a fatal four-way. Unfortunately, she lost the match to Liv Morgan.

Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder) supports Chelsea Green after the debut

Chelsea Green is the girlfriend of former WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder, now known as Matt Cordona in AEW. He supported Green as he shared a funny tweet following the debut.

Before WWE, Green was a famous face thanks to TNA. She won the Knockouts Championship once, back in 2016. Before her wrestling debut, Green served as Daniel Bryan’s physical therapist Megan Miller in 2014.

During Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella’s feud, Green confessed that the two had been having an affair before an infuriated Bella stormed to the ring and slapped her. After that, she competed in WWE Tough Enough and finished fourth for the females.

Green debuted on WWE NXT last year. By the end of 2019, Green appeared on Raw, losing to Charlotte Flair. In January, she was announced as the first member of professional wrestling manager Robert Stone’s stable. Later that month, Green competed in the women’s Royal Rumble match, which Flair eventually won.

In May, Stone fired her as WWE planned to move Green to the main roster. However, Heyman resigned from the creative team, and her move was halted until now.
