Kevin Owens got drafted to SmackDown on Monday’s edition of the WWE Draft. In his final match on Raw, Owens secured a win over his arch nemesis, Aleister Black.

Apart from that, he reunited with his old friend Sami Zayn. Now that Owens is on the blue brand for the foreseeable future, he is ready for a new title opportunity.

However, SmackDown shared a tweet asking people to choose top contenders for SmackDown’s titles. Kevin Owens was under the Intercontinental Title category. Owens was not happy with the title bracket he was put under and thought he deserved more.

Kevin Owens will leave the ‘darkness’ behind

Before the Draft, Kevin Owens was facing constant attacks from ‘Darkness.’ After his recent altercations with Aleister Black, Bray Wyatt attacked Owens as well. The Fiend attacked him when Owens hosted Alexa Bliss in his talk show’s last episode.

After he was attacked, Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House version told Owens how he should learn to be a better friend. Kevin Owens’ constant reference to ‘darkness’ led many fans to believe that there will be a new faction.

However, Owens defeated Black on the last episode of Raw before SmackDown claimed him. But his happiness was short-lived as Black also joined the Blue Brand’s roster.

Owens might finish the unfinished business with Black first before moving into the title scene. Before that, there is also a possibility of him and Sami Zayn reuniting and pursuing the SmackDown tag team titles.

We have to see whether Owens gets a world title opportunity in the land of opportunities. Hopefully, we will see his second reign with the Universal Title soon.
