Jey Uso’s win on Friday Night SmackDown paved the way for a bigger storyline for the company. This might be a huge milestone in the villainous chapter of Roman Reigns’ career.

So, during the latest episode of the Blue Brand, Jey Uso defeated Sheamus, Matt Riddle, and King Corbin. However, this wasn’t actually Jey Uso’s match.

Earlier during the show, Big E (the original contender) was attacked by Sheamus. The company had to immediately find a replacement and they booked Uso.

Now, the company will capitalize on Uso’s relationship with Roman Reigns and build a storyline for the upcoming event – Clash of Champions.

We know that Jey Uso and Roman Reigns are cousins. Furthermore, Reigns has been really possessive about his family and bloodline throughout his run in WWE.

After his break from the company for a couple of months, he returned to the ring as a heel. Therefore, to further solidify his character, Roman Reigns needs to keep pushing forward with typical heel-ish behavior.

One of the best ways for him to establish his new heel persona is by going against the same family that he has held close to himself for all this time. If there’s really some truth to his new selfish persona, then blood will not come in the way of his unhinged carnage.

There are three ways this match can end.

First, Roman Reigns completely destroys Jey Uso inside the ring without paying any attention to the cousin factor. This will be an ode to his character turning heel. Of course, this is the most predictable ending. How Reigns will win is another story altogether.

Secondly, Jey Uso wins the Championship title which moves the cousin vs cousin storyline forward. The reason being that if Uso wins, the ‘Big Dog’ will definitely look for another match to win the title back. If this happens, his character might turn towards the darker side which will draw out the ultimate heel in him.

Third, the match ends with a no contest because of interference or other factors. In this case, the storyline will definitely move forward with both Uso and Reigns wanting to prove themselves as the better Superstar in the ring.
