The incredibly personal rivalry between Jeff Hardy and Sheamus culminated in a vicious bar fight this week on WWE SmackDown. This battle has been very tough on Hardy, considering that his chequered history with alcoholism was viscerally exposed.

However, the charismatic enigma pushed aside all the demons and put away The Celtic Warrior for good. As expected, the match employed a cinematic style with it starting off with a conversation between the two stars.

It soon devolved into an ugly slugfest with both of them chanelling their inner monsters to inflict the maximum possible punishment upon each other.

However, there were a few spots in the match that were particularly eye-catching. One of these involved Sheamus shoving Hardy’s face into a urinal, and then turning the flush on.

Later in the match, Sheamus looked pretty comfortable and in a position to win. However, that’s when Hardy unleashed the biggest surprise of the night.

While the celtic warrior called the referee to begin the three count, Hardy emerged with face paint and googly eyes. This closely resembled his Brother Nero persona from Impact.

Even though WWE gave Matt Hardy the permission to bring his broken universe to the company, Jeff was never allowed to explore his mystique laden side.

This might or might not be an indication of things to come. However, the fans of the Broken Hardys are certainly very happy.

In the end, Jeff would hit the swanton bomb on Sheamus from the top of a ladder and pick up the victory.

With so many noteworthy moments in the match, Twitter made sure that it gave its two cents.
