This week on Impact on AXS TV, it was announced that Jordynne Grace would be teaming up with former WWE Women’s Champion Jazz during the revived Impact Knockouts Tag Team Tournament to crown a new champion.

Last week, Grace made a phone call to an unknown wrestler at the time to see if they would like to team with her during the Tag Team Title Tournament. Tonight, she informed backstage interviewer, Gia Miller, that Jazz will now be her partner.

Jazz announced her retirement last month, citing personal and health issues. She vacated the NWA Women’s Title after 948 days.

Moreover, she had planned to do a retirement tour this year, but she wasn’t able to because of the pandemic. Last month, she announced her retirement from wrestling.

Jazz was a pioneer for Women’s Wrestling in WWE

Jazz debuted on WWE during the Attitude Era. Where women were used as eye candy, Jazz showed some great athleticism and had a couple of runs with the women’s championship. She was also the first female wrestler for the now-defunct ECW.

Last year, she also competed for AEW when she participated in the Casino Battle Royal during the All Out event in 2019. In the Chris Van Vliet interview last month, Jazz revealed how she wanted to focus on her family during this pandemic.

The 48-year-old said, “I am done in the ring. I would do a whole tour in 2020, but with the pandemic happening, that screwed everything up. I’ve been having issues with my knees and my back and a lot more issues physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Jazz concluded, “That’s why I had to forfeit the NWA title. I have two beautiful daughters, and I have to focus on them right now.”
