It is no secret about the respect Brock Lesnar has for Kurt Angle. They both hit it off right when they met for the first time in WWE. Lesnar and Angle understood each other because of their similar amateur wrestling background.

During the first run of ‘The Beast Incarnate’ in WWE, he faced Angle multiple times. One of the reasons Lesnar admires Angle is because he won the Olympic Gold Medal with a broken neck. While that’s Lesnar’s take on Angle, recently even The Olympic Hero had high praise for the former UFC champion.

He added, “First time I met him, what happened was the Brooklyn Brawler talked to Brock and said, ‘How would you do against Kurt Angle in a wrestling match?’ Brock said, ‘He’s too small. I’ll kill him.’”

Angle further went to Lesnar to introduce himself. Also, he asked ‘The Youngest WWE Champion’ about what he said to The Brooklyn Brawler. The first meeting between ‘The Olympic Hero’ and ‘The Next Big Thing’ was in the ring for an amateur wrestling match.

Lesnar narrates, “To this day I get asked questions about Kurt and his chances as an MMA fighter. Let’s get one thing straight: Kurt Angle was one tough son of a b**ch. Could Kurt in his prime have fought in the UFC? Absolutely. And he would have torn it up.”

Further, he adds, “Could Kurt fight in UFC now? Absolutely not. After all of his pro wrestling injuries, I don’t think he could even pass the physical.”
