Ronda Rousey had an exciting in-ring WWE debut in 2018 at WrestleMania 34. She quickly became the RAW Women’s Champion and proved that she was indeed made for pro-wrestling, too. However, her current run on SmackDown is criticized by fans on social media.

On Monday this week alongside RAW, #FireRondaRousey was heavily trending due to her match against Shotzi at Survivor Series. But WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair defended ‘The Rowdy One’ calling her a “fabulous” star in WWE.

In the recent episode of To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair had words of praise for Ronda Rousey. Co-host Conrad Thompson asked Naitch about his views over the recent #FireRondaRousey that went viral on Twitter on Monday night.

Flair said, “I think Ronda is fabulous. Who doesn’t like her again?” Thompson shared about some of her great matches, even though sometimes her matches lately aren’t exciting to the fans.

The Nature Boy added, “I have to agree; I like Ronda personally. I think, you know, sometimes the need to look at who she is wrestling against, you know what I mean? You’re not going to get the same match out of Ronda every time. The opponent’s got to be able to carry their weight too”

He further said, “I think it goes hand in hand but getting back to your point. She brings a lot of notoriety. I actually pay a lot of attention to it all. She is the biggest box office star they ever had at UFC”

As The Nature Boy said, Rousey is the box office star for WWE and was for UFC as well. Since joining WWE, she is a onetime RAW Women’s Champion and two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. 

Moreover, she also won this year’s Royal Rumble, and she also got a huge pop upon her return. However, lately, her current title run hasn’t seen a major moment, but WrestleMania season is near and we can expect something great soon.

Many fans want to see The Baddest Woman on the Planet go toe to toe with Becky Lynch. In 2019, it seemed we would have seen this match, but WWE added Charlotte Flair to the match.

The Queen’s addition made it a ‘winner takes all’ match between The Man, Rousey, and Flair at WrestleMania 35.

Earlier this year when Rousey won Royal Rumble, we thought she would challenge Lynch for the RAW title. However, WWE went with Flair vs Rousey for WrestleMania 38, which was a good match.

But for WrestleMania 39 as per Dave Meltzer, WWE seems to look for Lynch vs Rousey for the SmackDown title. If the match happens, it will be another big match at the grandest stage.
