Brock Lesnar accomplished a lot early in his career. A former NCAA national champion, Lesnar rose to prominence in WWE. After making his debut in 2002, WWE touted him as the ‘Next Big Thing’. In his first year with the promotion, he became the youngest WWE Champion at the age of 25 and was a household name. As such, Lesnar knows a thing or two about early rise to fame and how to keep a level head.

After having his fill of the world of sports entertainment, Lesnar joined UFC in 2008 and won the heavyweight title in just his third fight. In a short span of time, ‘The Beast’ achieved what a lot of performers dream of their entire lives.

In an interview during his time with UFC, Lesnar shared a valuable piece of advice for Jon Jones, who had become the youngest UFC Champion at just 23.

Brock Lesnar made an instant impact in both WWE and UFC. The Conqueror got his breakthrough with WWE and didn’t look back.

His quick rise to fame meant people always had an eye on the next step he took. This was true during his run in the UFC, where he had a target on his back from the first day. Yet, he continued to be on the top of his game with little time for distractions.

Brock Lesnar Had an Honest Answer When Asked to Pick Between Vince McMahon and Dana White: “They Both Have…”

In 2011, ‘Sports Illustrated’ asked Lesnar what advice he would give to young UFC fighters including Jon Jones. Jones had shot to global stardom as the youngest UFC champion, and everyone wanted a piece of him.

Lesnar replied, “Everyone is going to want something from you. My advice is to surround yourself with the people who were with you from the beginning and try to keep your nose clean and keep a level head.”

Moreover, The Beast Incarnate added that it is vital not to get overwhelmed by other things around you. He stated, “The most important thing is: Don’t get overwhelmed by the outside stuff. Understand the things that got you there and are most important. Focus on your fight career, and keep time to yourself, because you’re going to be pulled in a lot of directions.

Indeed, this was a great piece of advice from someone who had tremendous success at an early age. Jon Jones did maintain his run at the top of the lightweight division for many years, but it has been with its difficulties.

While Brock Lesnar not only rose to the top and stayed there, he accomplished that without getting into much controversy. It is also true that his sole focus has been his fighting career, whether it be WWE or the octagon. This is something a lot of young sports athletes can learn from.
