Vince McMahon, suddenly retiring from WWE, was a huge shock to the fans. For decades, McMahon had been the driving force behind his company’s rise. He fought through numerous perils while in charge of the company. After his departure, WWE is heading in a new direction and the fans have accepted the change with open arms. However, a recent report involving the UFC left them bewildered.

For years, WWE has maintained its position at the pinnacle of sports entertainment. UFC has emerged as a leader in combat sports and has produced big-name fighters akin to WWE stars. However, the two have always denied that there is any sort of competition between them, with WWE outright saying its focus is sports entertainment and not only sports.

WWE has gone through many changes since Vince McMahon retired a few months ago. His daughter Stephanie McMahon is the new Co-CEO alongside Nick Khan while Paul Levesque aka Triple H is the Head of Creative.

After McMahon’s retirement, there was speculation about WWE looking for a sale, but nothing has come off yet. Among the names that propped regarding, possibly buying WWE are Zuffa, LLC, a subsidiary of Endeavor Group Holdings, who are the owners of UFC.

Endeavor President Mark Shapiro revealed they would be interested in buying the sports entertainment company. He said, “That would be something that would be interesting and worth exploring. Would we buy it? Who knows? Last I checked, it wasn’t for sale. We’re interested in anything in the owned sports properties segment,”

Consequently, fans didn’t take kindly to this report and let their feelings known. They took to Twitter to vent their opinions and had a lot to say regarding this shocking development. Some of them were not too keen on seeing UFC as potential owners of WWE.

Fans were quick to reject the idea of UFC-owned WWE and had witty responses.

A fan termed it the “worst-case scenario”.

Some people thought it wasn’t possible because of the recent changes in the company.

Moreover, few fans even warned UFC about potentially buying WWE.

If the stakeholders decide to sell off WWE, the fans have spoken about what they feel. Although a sale can never be out of the question, there is very little to suggest that WWE is looking for new owners.
