Last year NBA player Kevin Durant told in an interview about him wanting to be a lifelong member of the famous WCW stable The nWo. He talked about being a huge fan of the group that dominated the Monday Night Wars for the better part of 83 consecutive weeks.
However, recently it seems Durant has pulled a trick from The nWo’s bag. Let’s see about the trick the NBA player took from the WCW’s group’s bag.

One of the biggest names in the NBA has made himself available hours before the new league year officially begins. Kevin Durant asked Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai to be traded from the franchise on Thursday.
Durant has made himself in the position of Hulk Hogan in this way. After asking for his release from the Nets, Durant has not confirmed which team he is eying for to play in the next NBA season.
Last year Kevin Durant said about a nWo fanboy. He said, “I definitely appreciate the group and what they brought to the entertainment space. I was a huge fan as a kid.” (H/T Sports Illustrated)

However, Eric Bischoff, the former WCW president, would be honored to make Durant the newest member of the iconic group. He said, “Kevin Durant would be welcomed with open arms, by not only myself, the architect of the NWO, but also Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. We would love to have Kevin Durant be a lifetime member of the NWO.”
Now, after asking for the release from the Brooklyn Nets, the fans are waiting for Durant to select another team. Whichever team he will sign with, he will make an entrance as Hulk Hogan did as the new member of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash’s team, officially forming The nWo.
Kevin Durant feels like he leads the nWo in the NBA
While speaking with Sports Illustrated last year, Kevin Durant spoke about how he has his own nWo in Brooklyn Nets with James Harden and Kyrie Irving.
He said,“I don’t it kind of looks that way, right? Our team wears all black and we kind of got three guys on the team that a lot of fans in the NBA don’t really like as much. It can seem that way, but I don’t think we take on that mentality.”

KD added, “I think we come in and operate at a pretty smooth, easy, reserved level. We’re just very high-skilled guys, but I guess [from] the outside perception, it can seem that way. But for us, we just really enjoy to play every day.”
