When it comes to professional wrestling, Hulk Hogan was a superstar with sheer commitment. The Hulkster never broke character during LIVE shows and always kept the feud intact.

However, there was an instance when Hogan was angry at a former WWE superstar during his first fight in WCW. This was when the show went in to a commercial.

A few years back, two-time WCW Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger appeared on The Hannibal TV. He recalled Hulk Hogan was angry at him for breaking character on his first night on WCW Nitro.

The Narcissus said, “So I broke character a little bit when our nose to nose and there’s a live crowd there. The Hulkster is all business by business. I have never been around him, so I kind of smoked at him. And I’ll never forget, he looks at me and he goes, ‘Hey brother knock that smile. Take that smile off that face or I’ll knock it off’.”

Hogan and Luger were not used to each other’s work ethics as they only met a few times in WWE before The Hulkster left the company. The Total Package said that Hogan was angry at him for breaking character.

The Hulkster stated those actions could have taken money away from his pocket. Means, the fans would have lost interest in their feud. Hence, Hogan was mad at Luger and advised him not to break character on screen, regardless of what happens. However, Luger apologized to Hogan, and they eventually became good friends.
