The WWE Universe is looking forward to the first Premium Live Event of 2023. And WWE released a teaser video of the upcoming event a couple of hours ago on its Twitter page. In a matter of a few hours, fans have blown up the comment section with their reactions.

A unique match will make its debut in Royal Rumble next year

The teaser video is a 15-second commercial advertising a special match that will take place at the Royal Rumble next year. It is a “Mountain Dew presents Pitch Black Match” which will be making its debut next year.

The posted video clip shows the arena goes dark and the wordings “When It’s The Pitch Black Match, Anything Can Happen.” appear. Fans believe that LA Knight will face off against Bray Wyatt in this match.

Fans expect to see The Fiend’s return at Royal Rumble

Fans are expecting WWE to give them The Fiend vs The Defiant One Pitch Black Match at Royal Rumble. One fan claims that “the fireflies and the lights by the ring” point toward The Eater of World’s involvement in the match.

Also, the “writing” used in the teaser video clip has “the same font” as the font WWE uses on television for Wyatt-related things.

Seeing the dark nature of the match, it seems possible that The Reaper could be in the Pitch Black Match. And considering his feud with the LA Knight, The Prince of Eternia will be his opponent.

The last time The Angel of Dirt stepped inside the ring was at WrestleMania 37 (11 April 2021). He competed against Randy Orton, and the Viper defeated him. The New Face of Fear came back to WWE at Extreme Rules 2022 but is yet to step back between the ropes since returning.

Mountain Dew’s Pitch Black flavor is returning to stores in January.
