Matt Hardy is one of the most intelligent fighters in pro-wrestling history and he has a knack for creating great new gimmicks. His transition from The Hardy Boyz to Matt Hardy V1 to Broken Matt Hardy is the most notable change the industry has seen. Currently, Matt is with AEW where he is under the ‘Big Money’ Matt gimmick.

Matt Hardy’s Broken gimmick during 2016-17 was the reincarnation of his career, and he was one of the hottest wrestlers in the industry.

However, the WWE legend believes that Vince never realized his potential as a Main Event superstar and they always chose Jeff over Matt for big matches.

Matt Hardy recently appeared on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast where he recalled how The Hardy Boys sold all the merchandise, being a tag team. They were extremely popular as their style matched all the aspects of the attitude era and the young generation of that time loved them.

Speaking about how Vince chose Jeff over him, he said, “And Vince always chose Jeff over Matt in The Hardy Boyz, when it came to Edge and Christian, he always chose Edge over Christian. That’s something myself and Christian always have in common. We were a little underrated. We never got all the credit we deserved sometimes, in his eye.” H/T WrestlingInc

Matt Hardy believes he and Christian were always underrated in the WWE. Although, Christian did finally get an opportunity to prove himself as he won World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions. However, Matt Hardy didn’t get that chance and, as a result, he was away from the company for almost seven long years.

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy will reunite after three years

Since Matt Hardy left WWE, Jeff Hardy was a part of the singles competition. Recently, Jeff was also released from WWE as he refused to go to rehab. Now, recently, Big Time Wrestling took to Twitter to announce the reunion of Hardy Boys.
