World No. 7 Alexander Zverev won his third ATP title on home soil after clinching Betts1HULKS Indoors. Zverev defeated the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, 6-3, 6-3 in the final, and ended his 17-month wait for a title. The German won 80% of the points of his first serve and now leads 3-0 in his rivalry against Auger-Aliassime.

Zverev broke Felix’s serve early in the opening set to take a 3-1 lead and eventually won the first set comfortably. The second set was no different, with Zverev breaking his opponent’s serve to go 4-2 up and then holding his remaining service games to wrap up the match in one hour 20 minutes.

During the post-match ceremony, Zverev reflected on the heartbreaking loss at the US Open final and expressed what his thoughts had been before entering the final. With this victory, he has won the 12th title of his career and has continued his streak of winning at least one ATP title each year since 2016.
