Former Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not rule out a return back to Europe at the age of 38.

Ibrahimovic, who has been playing in America in the Major League Soccer (MLS), is in the final dew months of his contract. The former Inter Milan player felt that he could still make a difference in the top leagues in Europe, and his words felt as if a move to one of the leagues cannot be discounted once his contract expires in December.

When asked if he would still like to play in Serie A, Ibrahmovic told Sky Sport Italia:Oh 100 per cent, I know I could still make the difference, both in Italy and in other countries. I’d do better than the players who are there now. My contract expires in December and I don’t know what will happen after that.”

Ibrahimovic returned to the city of his first club Malmo this week where he was honoured with a statue.

Speaking at the event, he added: “I am very happy and honoured, as it means I’ve left my mark and this will remain forever.

‘Now that there are two Ibras, the world is a better place… and more dangerous! One is the original, the other will get to live forever. Some players get to win trophies, others have trophies and a statue.”

It was not long back that the Swedish international said a move back to Manchester United was a possibility.

“I could play easy in the Premier League, so if United needs me, I’m here,” he had said. “Galaxy has me, so I’m sorry.”

“I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it, I have 33 trophies that I brought with me here and hopefully I can get something here.

“And then we will see where that adventure finishes.”

Zlatan might be 38 years old, but his fans would love him to see him back to the place he used to be one of the best.
