She said, “I think here’s why every time I cut bangs before is because I was having a mental breakdown. And I cut them myself. “But it started in high school, where I like wanted to cut bangs never worked out, and then it got really bad in college. So my sophomore year, I had a boy break up with me I like cut bangs myself.”
Paige added, “I like locked myself in my room and my roommate was like, don’t do it, Paige, don’t do it. I chopped them off. They looked terrible. So I had to wear them like clip back for an entire semester, an entire semester until they grew out. And of course, I didn’t learn my lesson. So junior year, I dyed my hair like black because another boy broke up with me. Yes. And again, locked myself in my room. Cut straight across bangs and look terrible again.”
Paige spoke about the ill effect of social media that comes with fame at the 2016 Omega Buba Ladies Classic. She talked about the amount of cyberbullying she had received when she made her professional debut at the previous year’s tournament.
Spiranac proved how tough it is to go through such a mental breakdown. At the same time, it also shows all the trauma that she has gone through while growing up.
