Samuel is a 73-year-old American movie actor. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys playing golf. However, his story of beating Tiger Woods is like a fairy tale. Samuel said it was a “complete accident”.
Samuel Jackson said, “The first time I ever played St. Andrews, they paired me with [Woods] in what was the (Alfred Dunhill Championship) and I was a 16 [handicap].
Samuel L. Jackson added, “So they gave me my 16 shots and I shot a 78 because he said ‘follow me’ and I stayed as close to him as I could. I shot 78, which means I beat him by about eight strokes.” Wow! did he really beat Tiger with eight strokes?
Well, with the 150th Open Championship being played this year at St Andrews in 2022, It would be exciting to see both compete it out, and maybe Tiger can settle his score with Samuel.
Tiger Woods won his last PGA Tour title back in 2019. He won the 2019 ZOZO Championship in emphatic style. Woods won the event with an overall score of 16-under-par. As a result, won the event with a three-shot advantage. Tiger carded a final round of 67, three-under-par, which featured five birdies and two bogeys.
