Maxey churned out at least 10 assists in three out of four games. Notably, he dropped a crucial step-back three-pointer, symbolically filling the void.
2. A better team without Harden?
With Harden gone from the roster, the team is entirely built around the reigning MVP award winner, Joel Embiid. In fact, this fact seemed to have worked well for the Sixers. Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris have been the pick of the supporting cast, with consistent performances. The duo dropped 29 and 24 points, helping the team gain a late lead in the game. Notably, Maxey had no turnovers in the game.
3. The Sixers have their defense exposed
While Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris take the credit for a good supporting cast, the team almost lost the game today due to their defense. The Pistons led the game until the third quarter, seeping through the Sixers’ defense. Moreover, Embiid gave way for 5 turnovers in the game. Notably, Robert Covington’s defense brilliance in the last quarter saved the team from the loss. He helped the team with 4 steals.

James Harden struggles in new team
When the Harden trade formed the big-4 of the Clippers, fans expected the team to dominate the West. Contrarily, the team lost three games straight after Harden’s debut in the team. Importantly, it is unfair to criticize a team in the initial stages of the game. The fab-four might need some time on the court to work their magic.
