Unlike Larsa Pippen’s Upset Father, Marcus Jordan Defends His Lady Love Over ‘Thirst Trap’ Bikini Photo

An Instagram post from Larsa Pippen has created ripples on the internet. The 49-year-old posted a picture of herself in a bikini and the internet lost its collective mind over it. Soon, people started bashing her in the comments, saying that the image was heavily edited to make her look sexy and that she should “behave like a lady.”

However, the image couldn’t stay up for long as Larsa took the post down. Later it was confirmed by the Real Housewives of Miami star that it was her father who asked her to take it down.

Larsa’s post went viral immediately after it went up on her profile. While some people appreciated her confidence, others slammed her for not acting her age among other things. The fire soon reached her father who then asked Larsa to take it down. She told PEOPLE, “My dad sent me a text yesterday and said, ‘You published a photo and I think you need to take it down.’ And when my dad texts me stuff like that, I listen!” She said, “I think my dad got wind of all the stuff that was being put out there. My family’s really traditional and old-school — I’m the one that’s always pushing the envelope with them, you know? So when he texted me that, I just deleted it.”

Larsa said that she didn’t want to offend or upset her father by disregarding what he asked of her. She said that it wasn’t worth the burden of letting down her father over an Instagram post. Her boyfriend on the other hand seems to be fine with it. Michael Jordan‘s 33-year-old son Marcus told TMZ, “I approve of everything Larsa does.”

Marcus has said that he appreciates everything Larsa chooses to do and is always going to be supportive of her actions. Unfortunately, his support was outweighed by Larsa’s father’s wishes and the post no longer exists on her Instagram profile. The 49-year-old said that this wasn’t the first time her father made such a demand of her. She said that there have been several instances where she had to backtrack or take down a post according to his wishes.

Larsa said that she respects where her father was coming from while asking for the post to be taken down, at the same time, she believes she has a right to live her life the way she wants to. Going by her response, this isn’t going to be the last time either.
