In 2017, Saraya suffered a grave neck injury that kept her out on the sidelines. She made several appearances on WWE TV despite confirmation of the fact that she couldn’t wrestle anymore. Nevertheless, former VP of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis informed Saraya in 2022 that they would let her go when her WWE contract expired.

The 30-year-old wrestler further added that Triple H was“gracious” enough to tell her that if she ever wanted to return, the door was open. Ultimately, Saraya made her debut in AEW in September 2022.
