Megan Rapinoe Applauds Angel Reese’s ‘Boss’ Move in Announcing WNBA Signing
Soccer once again appreciated the charismatic influence of basketball. The close association between the athletes of the two sports continues after former soccer legend Carli Lloyd recently lauded the NCAA sensation, Caitlin Clark. This time it is the turn of another legend Megan Rapinoe who took the opportunity to hail NSU star Angel Reese’s WNBA draft entry. The former World Cup winner may have called quits on her career but keeps her connection with the WNBA intact.
It is not the first time Megan Rapinoe backed lady basketball players. Rapinoe continues her support to WNBA players reposting Vogue’s Instagram post that announced Reese’s signing. Rapinoe, adding it to her story, also captioned it, “Dropping this news in Vogue is so boss, I love this,” expressing her ecstasy of Reese’s iconic collaboration with Vogue.
Vogue being one of the top fashion and news magazines around the globe has collaborated with iconic athletes including NBA ace Lebron James and others like Serena Williams, Michael Phelps, etc. Now even the 21-year-old from WSU announced herself into the WNBA draft with a photo shoot with the magazine stating, “My ultimate goal is to be a pro—and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.” Angel Reese also expressed satisfaction with all her incredible achievements in college basketball.
