‘It Was a Blessing There Were No Children Involved’- Andre Agassi’s Ex-Wife Brooke Shields on Their Divorce and How They Fell Apart

Sometimes it’s not the wrong person you have fallen in love with but just the wrong timing. The same went with Andre Agassi and his first wife Brooke Shields. The American actress and her autobiography discussed how their marriage broke down after two years of marriage and how their relationship changed as a result of centering their professions. Both well-known individuals have discussed their first failed marriage in their own different ways.

Andre Agassi’s first wife once talked about their divorce.

Shields in 2005 released an autobiot named, “down came the rain.” In the book, Brooke talked about her first divorce and what was the reason behind the separation. Both the prominent stars in the respective arenas were busy creating their name-found love. And got married but there were some things that didn’t really go well post-wedding.

What did Shields write?

Shields wrote, “We were busy with our individual careers, and our schedules often conflicted. Though we both wanted to have children, the appropriate time never seemed to present itself. Even though a great deal of love existed between the two of us, over time, our lives seemed to become polarized and after two years, our marriage ended. It was a sad but amicable parting, and it was a blessing there were no children involved.”

The American Actress later married Chris Henchy.

Shields thought that finding genuine love again after a failed marriage was even more of a blessing than having children in her first marriage. She wed comedic writer Chris Henchy in 1997. Following the divorce, many people had the impression that the Tennis Legend was a bad person.

Agassi was not an evil person.

Agassi encountered a lot of backlash during his first divorce as the American actress at the time was more well-liked than the tennis icon. In a January 2016 interview with Andy Cohen, Shields made it plain that the former world number one was not a bad guy. Shields admitted that nothing was done on purpose to ruin their relationship.
