Early Life

Andy Ruiz Jr got into boxing at the behest of his father. He went on to have a successful amateur career with a 105-5 record. 

Heavyweight Glory 

Ruiz fought for gold against Anthony Joshua in June 2019. He stopped Joshua in round seven in one of the biggest upsets in boxing history. 

Pitfalls of Fame 

After winning the belt, all the fame attention and money caught up to Ruiz as he ballooned out of shape. 

Fall from Grace 

Ruiz was thoroughly outclassed by Joshua and lost the rematch just six months on from his TKO win. 

The Comeback 

After a devastating loss, Ruiz is on his road back to the top. He has lot a lot of weight and looks extremely focused and motivated to get back to the top.
